A few days ago I asked in the comments how Otis Jiry was holding up, and got a response from him! It was like Morgan Freeman just responded to my post! It was legendary, and I almost cried, it was so majestic. Otis is really the reason I subscribed. I personally think this channel is made amazing by Mr. Jiry. I saw a comment earlier that said, "you guys are better than cable." This is better than YouTube, better than popcorn, better than adorable kitten videos, better than the legendary Morgan Freeman himself!

If only I could give Chilling Tales for Dark Nights a higher rating, I would! They are simply the best in horror storytelling available! Their actors bring the words to life!

Unlike other sites I've submitted stories to, I have been a massive fan of CTFDN for some time. That is to say, I'll put your Nightmare Fuel playlist on my phone and listen to that as I go to sleep. When I met my girlfriend, who is as into scary stories as much as I am, one of the first things I showed her is your channel, and we go to sleep to the many stories you have on your site. So, finally getting a story accepted by your site is on par with the cliche of having a dream come true. I am a physicist by trade, but the dream for me is to get paid as a writer. All of this to say that this opportunity and what I hope will develop into a relationship is beyond anything I hoped would actually come to pass. I thank you for everything. I personally love your videos and every time I watch, or in this case HEAR the videos that you produce, I am astounded by the amount of quality and the depth of the editing in every one of them. In your recent uploads, I nearly fooled myself into thinking that they are actual videos playing and not voice overs. They are very well-crafted videos and the choice of voice actors is astounding, and I thank you for making such well-crafted videos. Some of them actually scared me at some points in the viewing, due to the well-placed sounds and jump scares. I've found out the hard way that The Simply Scary Podcast is not a good podcast to listen to when house-sitting alone after dark. Between G.M. Danielson's too-smooth narration, the disturbing imagery and spooky sound design, I really shouldn't keep tormenting myself like this, but I just keep coming back for more.
